In a new video released today, comedian Roseanne Barr declared her support for Disneyland hotel workers who for three years have been fighting drastic cuts to their healthcare.  Watch the video: http://youtu.be/7-L-Hb32VfQ

“It’s not right to call someplace the happiest place on earth when you’re slashing workers’ health benefits,” said the Emmy-winning actress. “That’s not a magical kingdom kind of thing to do.”

Taking a break from filming her new Lifetime reality show, Barr sat down with long-time friend Clam Lynch for a mock therapy session. Lynch’s character, “Micky Mouth” sought advice on how to climb Disney’s corporate ladder and curry favor with executives. Instead Barr recommends the sycophant re-examine his moral position.

“You’re trying to sell out to Disney, right?” Barr said. “But they’ve got any number of sellouts, why do they need you? Have you ever thought that maybe you’re on the wrong side of everything? You’re supporting a huge corporation that is trying to cut the people who clean their hotels, and take away their healthcare, maybe you should switch it, to do more pro-family, pro-people, pro-worker….”

She also lends her support for a hotel workers’ recent campaign urging Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences members not to vote for Toy Story 3 for Best Picture.

“[With Toy Story 3] Disney has a really good message, yet Disney Corporation is stealing from widows and orphans, basically…So, people might vote against a corporation, even if it’s a good movie, that’s what you’re saying? That would be a good thing,” Barr said.
